A bright blue corrugated iron wall, a neon cactus and rainbow coloured stairs reflect the weird and wonderful creations found at ‘Ain’t No Taco’. The Huskies were delighted by the playful twist on the original Mexican taco, with traces of influence from Korea, California and Jamaica. If you’re in for an extra kick, you won’t run out of options with 60 different kinds of hot sauce (FYI, the hottest one is stored behind the counter). Don’t forget to bring the rest of your crew to try something a little different!
Louise had a combination of Pork and Chicken tacos and a Blackcurrant & Ginger Juice. She said "Great aesthetic, reasonable prices. Tasty tacos but possibly too much japanese mayo for my liking. Epic jalapeno cheese on the corn chips! Unfortunately let down by laggy service, including seeing our food plated and ready 10 minutes before it was brought over."
Innie had the Grilled Fish, Bulgogi Pork, Chicken Karaage, Smoked Beef, Jerk Tofu and a Guava & Basil Smoothie. She said "I liked Bulgogi Pork the best."
Mel had a bit of everything plus some of the Guac & Dip and a Lime Soda. She said "Loved this super chilled taco cafe, the flavours were beautiful and surprisingly filling. The cheesy dip which came with the Guacamole and Chips, was sooo yummy!!! I’d be real happy to have one of these all to myself next time, and there will be a next time because there were some really delicious boozy/dessert options which it wasn’t quite appropriate to try on a ‘work’ lunch. The décor was pretty cool too, we all fell in love with the teal wall and bright colours, very refreshing and cheerful."
Rebecca had a bit of everything. She said "Loved the bright interior, neon lights and the fusion between Japanese and Mexican in the Karaage Chicken Taco."
Bri had the Build Your Own Taco Bowl and a Watermelon Jarrito. She said "Loved the funky blue wall, they had really cool deco. Being able to make your own Taco with so many amazing ingredient options was great! So yum."
