Being only 2 minutes drive from the studio, there was only so long we could stay away from this retro South Californian eatery (Lou said it's her the 4th time since it's opening in June. And while the food took a bit longer to come, we were pleasantly surprised by the revamped menu options (which featured the addition of succulent burgers on top of its famous South American-fare).
The open-roof is always a crowd-favourite in the sunny weather, we oogled at the staff tees which were all unique and very trendy – anyone know if they're on sale? The wooden serving boards and napkins were also customised with their corporate. Here's to a successful brand-launch and an even-better community bar. Cheers!
Louise had the Braised Duck Soft Taco & the Market Fish Soft Taco. She said 'This is the fourth time I have been to Citizen Park - think we may have hit a busy patch as food took a loong time to come. Yummy though the ginger drowned the flavour of the fish. Duck taco yum yum - could've done two of those! Wait staff were lovely!'
Innie had the Tokyo Karaage Chicken Burger and a Black Coffee. She said 'Whoever thought of putting seaweed in hamburger is a genius! Loving the unique taste. So glad it's in our neighbourhood - Go Kingsland!'
Katie had the Calamari Burger with Fries. She said 'Loving the open roof in the sunny weather, the staff uniform were all unique and very trendy - I want one! A little disappointed with the mashed seafood of the burger - felt a bit like crabmeat.'
