Open for only 3 months and it's already the talk of Kingsland' they've got a whole bunch of likes on Facebook to prove it. HUSK adventured to Grill & Shakes and within a few minutes, we totally understood why. The two-story building features an eclectic mix of styles - glowing signs and window chalk, neon cups, button-yellow walls and cobalt blue window shutters above the fireplace (!) Their shake menu is just as eventful with 69 different flavours, many of which are made with scrummy chocolate bars, moreish biscuits and even smashed up cakes and slices? You gotta see the menu to believe it'.but all 6 of us went gaga with the first sip. They do a very comprehensive selection of grilled skewers and flatbreads with a seemingly Ethiopian-Turkish flavour. The mozzarella dippers (get a few to share) went straight from our lips to our hips but we didn't care ' actually, get us another one.
Louise had the chicken kebab and a snickers shake. She said, 'The only thing that let this place down for me was the décor. Seriously conflicted and confused branding. The shakes though? Crazy amazing.'
Innie had the potato skins and the hershey's cookies and cream shake. She said, 'I would've enjoyed the experience a bit more if I was a teenager and it was back in 90s' but loved the shake!'
Katie had the chicken berebere marinated in ethiopian style berebere spices and a turkish delight milkshake. She said, 'Already thinking when I can go again try something else ' there's actual tiny chunks of Turkish Delight in the shake, I'm in heaven! The menu/website/décor seems a little confused to put it politely, perhaps HUSK can help' :) '
Mel had the chicken berebere and a hokey pokey crunchy shake. She said, 'Love, love, love the shake, good times! The grilled chicken was delicious and not too heavy which meant that you had room for the awesome shake. I am taking my kids back here for their next treat!'
Joe had the lamb kat-a-kate flatbread and a peanut m&m milkshake. He said, 'Worth it based on the shakes alone!'
Annie had the falafel and feta flatbread with lindt chilli chocolate shaker. She said, 'The shaker was so rich and amazing! There was a massive amount of onion on the flatbread.'
