We geek a bit over businesses that share the same name as us. We’re sorry. It makes us a tad giddy, perhaps its the camaraderie in arriving at the same destination or something #twinsies. Anyway... we first heard of the Husk craft beer brewery and bar in Wellington, and now there’s a little Husk cafe across from Epsom Girls Grammar. It probably means that our daydream of extending into a design-studio-slash-cafe is out the door, but hey. We loved their clean, scandy furniture and uncomplicated menu (a nice break from the eateries where we had to google every other word). These ladies make simple food and they do it well — plating was fuss-free but beautiful. Excellent for Newmarket locals with a good spot in the sun.
Louise had the Avocado Smash on Sourdough with feta, tomato and basil. She said "Would be a great walk-in if you work in the area, healthy food, great staff, eight-thirty coffee. Only point to make would be that the meals, though delicious, were a bit on the small side."
