PETIT BOCAL

https://www.facebook.com/Petit-Bocal-223863484426770/

This week we walked, because isn’t that just the best? Bustling and busy Petit Bocal is a lovely little local, quite the treat! The sun was on our side for our mid winter stroll, even better was the comfortable seating we nabbed outside! Inside, they have a very tidy minimalist decor and some very fitting iconic black and white French photography. Nicely presented yummy salads and steak & eggs were not bad classics but the highlight for our team was definitely the very novel, very creative smoothies. Rimmed with delightful ‘hundreds and thousands’ or seeds, edible flowers and for the sweet one, a yummy marshmallow.

Mel had the Salade De Fromage with goats cheese, shaved comte iraty, mesclun, figs, pear and toasted walnuts. She said “Salad was excellent, fresh, tangy and their goat’s cheese is divine. Merci beaucoup!”

Bri had the Winter Salad with roasted winter vegetable salad with spinach, almonds, goat cheese curd, kumara crisps and balsamic glaze dressing and drank a Passionfruit Smoothie. She said “The perfect lunch salad – it had a bit of everything I like, and was a generous portion. The smoothie was a fancy surprise. The cafe was packed so we had to sit outside along the footpath which was the only let down.”

Jeffrey had the Steak A Cheval with fries, fried egg and hollandaise. He said “Nice place, food was nice, service was good.”
