PETIT BOCAL

facebook.com/Petit-Bocal

After our review 3 years ago, we thought we ought to redo one with our new Huskies in tow!

Ever since its opening, the “Little Jar” has been a local favourite, many return for their night menu featuring el fresco nibbles, candlelight and wine until late. Not so romantic this warm lunch-rush-hour, but it’s just as packed. We fangirl/fanboy-ed over their latte-art (koalas and bears!) and smoothies in their vintage glass jars, thick and filled to the brim.

Massive order envy with Joe’s order (the menu just had unassumingly: “steak”), it was a good portion of steak alright, with a generous dollop of pesto sauce and a sunny-egg on top.

Nothing petit about this place!

Innie had the freshly baked croissant filled with champagne ham and melted emmental cheese and a side salad with a cutesy latte. She said that she loved “-coming back to this place for a simple meal with an extraordinary taste at a reasonable price. Gotta love my neighbourhood.”

Katie also had the omelette of the day and said “The portion was quite decent and the eggs were just right! Next time I’m definitely trying Joe’s steak too.”

Joe had steak avec l’ouef (that is, steak with an egg) and a Coco Smoothie. He enjoyed the meal but said that the lunch menu was a bit small and it “would be great to see a couple more options.”

Emilie Also had the ham and cheese croissant with a soy flat white. She said that “the portion was quite decent and the eggs were just right! Next time I’m definitely trying Joe’s steak too. Simply yum.”
