SCRATCH BAKERY

Situated at the City Works Depot, the place is chock-filled with both local white-collars and shade-sporting hipsters. Like the others, Scratch bakery had queues of people filling up the industrial space ‘ all oogling at the moreish baking. We settled on the churros and their ‘made from scratch’ pies ‘ see what they did there? If it’s sunny, there’s outdoor beanbags a-plenty. Dang, we’re in love.

Louise had the pulled chicken bap with basil and radish dressing with a mocha. She said ‘Crazy amount of people ‘ queues out the door! Also a bit of a breezy day and, even sat inside, it was a bit drafty and cold. Cool space though.’

Innie had the fish korma pie and a latte. She said ‘might go another day JUST to have desserts!’

Katie had the rabbit with thyme & leek pie. She said ‘Awesome pie options ‘ next time I’m trying the confit duck!’
