It’s always a joy to sit in this colourful cafe with its cheerful staff, sun streaming through the full-length windows. As Lou says — reminds us of Crave in their early days. Their food has remained consistent since its opening. A bunch of us ordered the crowd-pleaser crispy pork roast (aptly called the “Kings Belly”) with polenta chips and 5-spice glaze, always a good time. We’ve also caught glimpses of the rosti stack — a gleaming tower of golden hash piled with bacon, avo and wobbly poached eggs. If only we had two stomachs. Thanks for being a reassuring (and tasty) neighbour, HP — cool stuff.

Louise had the King Belly with pork belly double slow roasted, succulent & tender, crispy crackling served on a kumara puree with an apple & beetroot relish. She said, “Was my second visit that day and I have to say that my breakfast experience (bacon bene) greatly outweighed my lunch one. The pork belly was moist and tender but unfortunately the crackling was a tooth breaker. The assembly of items on the plate seemed disjointed, with polenta sticks, beetroot relish and large spinach leaves lacking in flavour and cohesion. Overall this place usually delivers – I will be back but may give the belly a wide girth… I mean berth.”

Katie had the Tempura Fish Taco with Lightly battered fish with mango salsa, fried shallots on a chilli lime slaw, and Calamari Popcorn. She said, “Super cool and down-to-earth crew and the fries/calamari/tempura fish had been fried to perfection. Always a good time here!”

Mel had the Pork Tacos with double roasted pork belly on a chilli lime slaw with beetroot relish, and shared some fries. She said, “Popular little place, good food options, a little tricky to find parking at peak times but enjoyed the atmosphere!”

Bri had the Tofu Tacos with fried tofu, spiced tomato & spring onion salsa on a chilli lime slaw, and shared some fries. She drank a Lean Green Machine Smoothie with Kale, spinach, avocado, natural greek yoghurt, & apple juice. She said, “Cool, fun vibes with excellent service. Green smoothie was really refreshing.”

Jeffrey Jeffrey had the King Belly with pork belly double slow roasted, succulent & tender, crispy crackling served on a kumara puree with an apple & beetroot relish. He said, “Nice environment and awesome service.”

Phil Phil had the King Belly with pork belly double slow roasted, succulent & tender, crispy crackling served on a kumara puree with an apple & beetroot relish He drank a Lean Green Machine Smoothie with Kale, spinach, avocado, natural greek yoghurt, & apple juice. He said, “Great food, awesome service. Car parking is limited and when busy it gets very noisy but still really like it.”
