JUST LIKE MARTHA

Just Like Martha, the still relatively newly-opened cafe, was a more than welcome addition to an area which hasn’t previously had many eatery options at this standard. The new kids on the block didn’t hold back when it comes to first impressions; think graphic wallpaper, black marble benchtops adorned with a hot pink coffee machine and crystal pendant lights. Add to this the stunning cabinet food which offers a range of sweet and savoury options, all beautifully presented and drool-invoking and we were pumped! This beautiful space is also deceptively spacious. The menu itself was so inviting that we quickly committed to coming back again… before we’d even ordered. Each of the visually delightful dishes were a plate-sized artwork – cleverly layered, packed with colour, texture and flavour and finished with imaginative flourishes and garnishes. We’ve heard that it can be difficult on the weekends to get a seat, so we’d suggest going before or after peak hours to ensure you can sit and enjoy an experience which Martha Stewart would be proud of!
Louise shared with Katie. They had the French Toast with dark chocolate brioche, white chocolate and raspberry panna cotta, thyme meringue and maple-fried banana, and a Double Buttermilk Fried Chicken (Bunless) Burger with southern slaw, chow chow relish, aioli and shoestring fries. She drank a single shot coconut flat white. She said, “Really enjoyed the food! Service was accommodating but not overly warm – however, I appreciated them moving us from the windy exterior to the covered interior. If I was a Three Kings local, this would likely be my pozzy!”
Katie shared with Lou the French Toast with dark chocolate brioche, white chocolate and raspberry panna cotta, thyme meringue and maple-fried doughnuts and a Double Buttermilk Fried Chicken (Bunless) Burger with southern slaw, chow chow relish, aioli and shoestring fries. She said, “Still thinking about that raspberry panna cotta and maple doughnuts *holy music*. Good call to share to balance the sweet and savoury vibes! The chicken was super crisp and truly good. Try to go before or after peak hours as it’s pretty packed.”
Mel had the Vegan Breakfast with falafels, cashew mayonnaise, beetroot, carrot, baby spinach, hazelnuts, crispy kale and pomegranate seeds. She drank a Mumas Brew Shop Kombucha. She said, “Cheerful and spacious place with really lovely food options. Great addition to the Three Kings area which previously hasn’t had many cafe options at this standard.”
Bri had the Vegan Breakfast with falafels, cashew mayonnaise, beetroot, carrot, baby spinach, hazelnuts, crispy kale and pomegranate seeds. She drank a Mango Coconut Smoothie. She said, “Great vibes on a sunny day and the food is an absolute treat to look at – very insta-worthy.”

Phil had the Double Buttermilk Fried Chicken Burger with southern slaw, chow chow relish, aioli and shoestring fries. He drank a Mango Coconut Smoothie. He said, “Loads of complementary yet very sweet flavours. Nice indoor outdoor feel.”
Kate had the Mince on Toast with Sichuan spice mince, chilli brioche, poached egg, seasonal greens, raspberry pickled onions, FANG chilli oil. She drank a Hakanoa Spicy Chai with coconut milk. She said, “Not only was the food beautifully presented, but also super tasty. I’m not usually a mince on toast gal but decided to risk it and didn’t regret it in the slightest. It was the perfect balance of spice and flavour and they didn’t stinge on the mince, meaning that the bread ratio was spot on.”
