TUCKS & BAO
With beautifully prepared fusions of Greek, Malay, Chinese, Thai, Korean and more, this place is still making our mouths water – the flavours where genuinely incredible. We loved the attention to detail with every plate and, to complete the scrumptious cuisine on offer, we were immersed in an exotic fit-out boasting water fountains, bamboo walls and even a mini gong signalling the wait staff that food was ready to go. Nice touch. If classic cafe fare is getting a tad tiring for you, Tucks & Bao is definitely a worthy contender for your next team outing.
The huskies each had a bao each and shared the following:
Clucking Good – Tucks famous fried chicken with sesame mayo
Miss Piggy – Crispy roasted pork belly slices with hoisin dip
Mr Bean – Edamame soy beans with chili rock salt
The Hulk – Fresh stir-fried greens with shallots, garlic & soy
Louise had the Belly Bao – Crispy pork belly with hoisin sauce, coriander & peanuts. She said “Really enjoy bao as a food group so it was always gonna be a good time. Doesn’t quite topple Chinoiserie as my fave spot for both bao and karaage but did a great job nonetheless.”
Mel had the Belly Bao – Crispy pork belly with hoisin sauce, coriander & peanuts. She said “Love this place! Vibrant, great service and delicious flavours. I would definitely come back here to try more of the menu options or to have the pork bao again, so good!”
Bri had the Crispy Fu – crispy tofu with fresh slaw, nuts and tangy mayo. She said “Loved the decor and atmosphere of the place, including the menu which had puns galore – very fun. Lots of vegetarian options which was awesome. Could not get enough of the flavours and how good the vegetables tasted. Highly recommend!”
Jeffrey also had the Belly Bao – Crispy pork belly with hoisin sauce, coriander & peanuts. He said “Very nice food and will go back for sure.”
