There have been a huge influx of eateries underscoring nutritious ingredients and wholesome lifestyles recently and Jess is taking it to the next level with healthy home-cooked meals that you can preorder and takeaway. Intrigued we were — I mean, who wouldn't want Harissa Chicken Tabbouleh Bowl, Pulled Pork Burrito or Cinnamon Braise Beef Cheeks for dinner? Meow. The venue turned out to be the previous home for the Rabbithole cafe, now with clean, scand-y furnishings and fresh flowers. We loved their selection of artisan goods including mouthwatering cake-mixes from The Caker alongside their cabinet offerings of wraps and vegan salads, with the option of adding poached chicken. The seating is largely outdoors, so we think it's best suited for summer hangouts or takeaway to somewhere more toasty. Still, do give'em a whirl, and a grab a pre-cooked dinner while you're at it. Herne Bay mums - we're infinitely jealous of your local.
Louise had the asian slaw and bean & barley salad with poached chicken and a mocha. She said "Loved the vibe, loved the décor, loved the smiley, friendly girls and excellent service. Find it tricky to eat off wooden eco-spoons and out of cardboard boxes, especially in the wind, but get that they are primarily set up as a takeaway joint more than a dine-in. I think their concept for meal ordering and pick-ups is excellent and they obviously have a huge following. I am happy to join the fans."
Innie had the asian slaw/eggplant kumaru couscous and a latte. She said "Oh I just love walking into a café and find great food and great people " gotta love auckland ;)"
Katie had the all 3 salads with poached chicken. She said "Legit yummy salads, would be awesome to grab a bunch of takeaway to picnic at the beach!
